INFORMATION
ON THE TECHNICAL SUPERVISION DEPARTMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION QUALITY
OF THE ARMENIAN TERRITORIAL DEVELOPMENT FUND
The Technical Supervision Department for Construction Quality of the Armenian Territorial Development Fund (hereinafter referred to as the Fund) was established in May 2025.
Within the framework of the “300 schools and 500 kindergartens” program to be constructed, renovated, or reconstructed by 2026, implemented by delegation of the Fund, the Technical Supervision Department for Construction Quality carries out technical supervision at more than 100 construction sites.
The functions assigned to the Technical Supervision Department for Construction Quality are ensured by the Head of the Department, three specialists, and 48 technical supervisors (out of the 48 supervisors, 18 — hold a Class I certificate as technical engineer for residential, public, and industrial structures; another 6 — hold Class I certificate with other professional qualifications in the construction sector; while the remaining supervisors possess relevant professional qualifications and work experience).
At the initiative of the Fund, technical supervisors periodically participate in continuous professional development trainings organized by the National Polytechnic University of Armenia for the purpose of requalification.
Technical supervisors make site visits to the assigned construction sites thereto (from 1 to 4 sites per supervisor) on a daily basis, once or twice a day, and perform their professional duties; they also carry out photo and video recording, which is transmitted through the archiving system established by the Fund to the specialists of the Technical Supervision Department for Construction Quality and the proper archiving of the materials is ensured by the latter.
